Since the start of the war, Mykolaiv has been under heavy attack from the Russians. In mid-April, the city's main water supply was destroyed in the attacks, and several districts of the city have since then not had proper access to clean water.
In June, we collaborated with some of Odessa's zealots and have so far helped deliver over 200,000 liters of clean water to the area. When conditions permit, 25,000 liters of water are transported at a time from Odessa to Mykolaiv.
The problems with the water supply do not seem to be solved any time soon. We are looking at other solutions to solve the problem more sustainably, but until then we will continue to help bring water in.
If you want to help the inhabitants of Mykolaiv with access to clean drinking water - then 25,000 liters of clean water costs approx. €400 to acquire and deliver.
