DSGU, in conjunction with our partner Demining Solutions (DS), have made significant progress in clearing Ukraine of hazardous landmines and unexploded ordnance. According to a recent report from the Mine Action Sub-Cluster of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), DSGU and DS have cleared approximately 20% of the land cleared in Ukraine in 2022.
In total, we cleared and released 84,500 square meters, contributing to the total area cleared and released of 463,898 square meters as of November 2022. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of our generous donors and strong partners.
We are proud of the impact we have made in improving the safety and well-being of the Ukrainian people and will continue our efforts to clear the remaining hazardous areas. Our work is far from over, and we remain committed to helping Ukrainian citizens return to their homes safely.
